Terrible news from showbiz in America. Singer Aaron Carter has passed away at the age of 34.

TMZ reports that Carter was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California. Aaron is the younger brother of Backstreet Boy star Nick Carter. Aaron himself became known at a young age with hits 'Crush On You' and 'Crazy Little Party Girl'. 

His body was found in a bathtub at 11 a.m. Police received a report that a man had drowned in a bathtub. No evidence of malicious intent was found. 

Aaron was in rehab for the fifth time last month for cannabis addiction. He would have had a lot of urges to reach for heavier drugs. 

Aaron leaves behind a son. He would have struggled with schizophrenia. A judge ordered him to stay away from brother Nick and his family for that reason. Aaron had relationships in his life with Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, among others.
